  1.           SUGGESTED STANDARD FILE FORMAT FOR SUBMISSION

  7. -- All files must be in standard ASCII format.
  8.  
  9. -- All files must be on an MS-DOS formatted disk, 3.5 inch (720-KB 
  10.      or 1.44-MB) or 5.25 inch (360-KB or 1.2-MB). 
  11.  
  12. -- A diskette label should clearly indicate the call used, 
  13.      contest name, entry class, and date of the contest.
  14.  
  15. -- The log file must consist of one line of data per QSO, without 
  16.      headers, footers, page breaks or other non-ASCII 
  17.      characters.
  18.  
  19. -- All QSO data must appear in each line, aligned by columns, and 
  20.      must include the following: 
  21.      -- band:  wavelength for HF and frequency for VHF.
  22.      -- mode:  designator such as CW, PH, etc.
  23.      -- date:  in MM/DD/YY or DD/MM/YY  format.
  24.      -- time:  4-digit UTC without colons.
  25.      -- station worked.
  26.      -- complete exchange sent.
  27.      -- complete exchange received.
  28.      -- indication of multipliers:  for example an "*",
  29.           section/prefix/zone or etc.
  30.      -- points claimed:  ALL unclaimed QSOs must be "0" points.
  31.      -- Multioperator, two-transmitter category log in the ARRL 
  32.           International DX Contest must indicate which 
  33.           transmitter made which QSOs.

  35. -- The log data file name shall consist of the call sign and the 
  36.      extension ".LOG".
  37.  
  38. -- A paper summary sheet is required of all logs, either an 
  39.      official ARRL summary sheet or a close facsimile with a      
  40.      signed contest participation disclaimer.

  42. -- All diskettes become the property of the ARRL and are not 
  43.      returnable.
